    Perhaps I should have explained my post above, so I can make any charge of racism sound as foolish as it is.

    I found it interesting that the NYPD is stopping and frisking mostly innocent people because of their ethnic and perceived economic profile. Profiling is a very hotly debated topic in the world, from Middle-Easterners in airports to African Americans and Latinos in big cities. On one hand, it is somewhat understandable — Israel uses it to some success. On the other, it is an example of our prejudices being applied as law enforcement.

    It was when I aligned the idea of creating a database of innocent citizens with the belief among Tea Party folk that the government is abusing its powers, and I thought I'd ask around and see if it was possible to get some intellectual consistency.

    In other words, if you're against the gov't abusing their power, would you agree that what the NYPD is doing is reprehensible and unacceptable?
