  Its really not about the Hummer's direct impact on the environment, but the changing mentality of society toward these gluttonous piles of shit (SUV's in general). Its a sign of whats to come, a stepping stone toward greater efficiency and no more smoggy skies. It's a good thing. Would you rather have had Hummer succeed?

  But I hate cars in general. Really where it starts is urban planning. You create bad urban planning (suburbia), and people will have to drive EVERYWHERE. Stop building bad cities.
