And I am DONE! My Cooper Union test is finally FINISHED!

The last two assignments I did (instructions are word for word):

#4: Fragment. Rip, tear, or cut a critical fragment from any drawing you have ever made, and position the fragment on this page.
    #9: Eclipse. Capture an eclipse.

You can use any materials unless it says otherwise, as long as it's 2D and fits in the square area of the page. "The square area on the sheets defines the field of operation."

So after hours and hours of working on all the others and having now idea how to do something for the eclipse that wasn't completely overdone and stupid, I came up with my idea. And I just did it while my dad and I giggled in delight at the curveball when they open my envelope...

I drew a single black circle on the page for #9. No shading, just a flat circle. The "field of operation" is about 8" wide, the circle maybe 3" in diameter. I burned a circle around the edge of it and glued the charred circle onto the fragment page. Why is this brilliant? Because anyone who puts a photorealistic fragment of an eye or something onto theirs is obviously taking something "critical" from that drawing by cutting it. BUT, it's the weakest kind of critical, Who gives a shit, people have lots of drawings! They could just cut up one that they didn't like and nobody would ever know if it actually meant something. But this– this is risking my entire test. It is VERY critical, in fact it is the only drawn part of my #9 assignment. They can't miss it! OMG. I know it's going to sound absolutely retarded in this blog post but shit, we were just going back and forth about what they're going to say when they look at it. "He fuckin' burnt it! Lit our GD test on fire that shit!" And if you flip the #9 paper over, you get all these really cool aurora borealis type swirls from the smoke. It's rad!

holy shit I feel so relieved... of course I'll be right back to regular classes after delivering this tomorrow but finally, NO MORE APPLICATIONS! Tomorrow and Friday, my birthday celebration commences! I'm going to buy a single pack of cigarettes (and that's it! then back to only *other herbs* it's the way to go), register to vote, and buy all my friends dinner. God it feels fucking good.
