I've done a few for some of the big name agencies over the years. Have my own on my site as well (although it's old). They're a major pain in the arse to make. Still working on my damn 2009 one which I will aptly name 2012 when its complete (only work on it a few hours every few months though). All Flash-based animation/motion graphics, screen captured, and then composited in AE.
