luckyorphan - when I state taking partial responsibility for the project going south I say it in response to getting sucked into the typical pitfalls of working with an inexperienced client. After looking at all the emails I think I put some unreasonable pressure on myself when considering the timeline. I cannot force a client to draft a sitemap and when you see a client dragging his/her feet sometimes you get sucked into that abyss - she didn't seem uber eager to hustle this project through so I too took my time.
The emails support the classic cause and effect of a large project with lengthy rounds of approval - I should have pushed it harder but I certainly didn't neglect or abandon the project at any point.
