People are complaining about the lack of French in the opening ceremonies and the focus on Aboriginals rather than Aboriginals + the multiculturalism that exists today.

The people complaining about the French are nuts (they opened by speaking French first (!) and continued speaking it every now and then), but I do think they focused a little too much on the Aboriginals and less on what makes Canada great today. Which is a mix of everything. It needed to be more balanced.

P.S. We're not completely bilingual. It only exists in some parts of the country.

    • Too much complaining from Canadians, haha. Even medal winners are not too happy about getting silver & bronze.juhls
    • French and English are the official languages of the Olympics that is why they are spokeniheartfun
    • I know, but some French people here are complaining there wasn't enough. I think there was.juhls
