They'll still fall together even without the words.
Keep the words, and give each photo a title if you like, but I'd use a much lighter typeface, smaller size and colour it dark grey.
As a viewer, I want to be able to form my own opinion. At the moment, it's as if someone is standing next to me with a megaphone shouting what I should associate with each.
