This cannot be done with current consumer equipment. It has a lot to do with the data, it can't just be "converted", it must be transcoded. This, unfortunately, would require two processors, one to deal with the source data and then a second processor to handle to tanscoded data. I've asked a few technicians that work here in the building about how they would go about this kind of transformation and one of them recommended an inventor in Taipe that may have solved for this, but that the manufacturer was very concerned with espionage and didn't deal directly with foreigners.

I think your safest bet would be to contact the original owner of the m4a file (via email, phone, or fax) and talk to them about possibly using an alternative format. Transactions like this are common and could lead to friendships. I met a fellow who does CB and continuous wave (morse code) in his free time and we had a great discussion about radio, Esperanto and Korean Soju (who knew there were so many recipes!). He was willing to use the gif (pronounced jiff) format instead of SVG, which was a life saver, as the two file formats are not compatible.
