I have found that it varies widely from printer to printer. Some lasers will treat your emboss/deboss with an unparalleled level of respect and keep it mostly intact while some will completely flatten it out, or worse, get stuck. Ink jets seem to completely destroy or torture your poor embossing in a all manner of evil ways. Vile things.
