was told about a site who was posting my artwork on it, where they sourced the actual site's and even linked it, linked my name and everything, it was like a homage to me than it was theft, but it was still theft, so i emailed my lawyer and he contacted the said party and said he got a return email in 2 minutes stating the work was taken down.
so a happy day for me as a battle with art thieves was not only taken care of, it was handled professionally and quite speedy...
the owner of the site who stole the art wrote to my lawyer stating how much they love my work.. it was nice to read the email when i got it, but i never heard it from that guy.. would be nice to hear this stuff from people over them posting the work on their sites.. the other part was the site wasnt even a blog, it was another art site that their html looked to be heisted from the art site my art was taken from..
oi
[p.s. the art portfolio site where my art was taken in question is that site i cant post here you know the be han ce one]
the site they pushed it on is http://www.freshcharacters.com/

- he explains he was "promoting" me and the other artists.e-pill
- he also explained he didnt ask the other artists for their permission.e-pill
- he also explained how he never contacted the other artists either.e-pill
- he apologized for his mistake and understands what he did is theft.e-pill
- in the end.. i shall have control of my work and my name and where its used.e-pill

- epill, it's similar to QBN linking your site here as "Public Choice". Would you oppose that? They don't need permission to link to your site, especially because they are promoting you and getting you hits.juhls
- permission to link to your site, especially because they are promoting you and getting you hits.juhls
- it was never advised that i was being promoted, it was never asked if they could do it eithere-pill
- as great as the intentions of that person, the fact was i was never advised upon it.e-pill
- they had the work on their site for over a year.. in all that time i was never informed..e-pill
- so its not the same.e-pill
- also they werent linking my site. my work was on their site.e-pill
- i had no control over it.e-pill
- i learned my lesson in that i dont need to share my work with the internet.e-pill
