- also make sure its a yellow cab that is licensed to be at the airport.e-pill
- make sure you get the ticket stub from the taxi so its legit, there is a lot of gypsies cabs.e-pill
- the gypsie cabs arent licensed to be there and charge anything they want..e-pill
- taxi's in nyc are not run by the amount of people, it is all based off the meter.e-pill

- yellow cabs will have a medalion on the hood of the car, that is the license.e-pill
- gypsies cabs are usually lincolns or mercedees luxury style.. with a price.e-pill
- there is a designated outdoor area for the yellow cabs, wait in line there.e-pill
- dont stop or talk to anyone offering you a ride and do not let anyone take your bags.e-pill
- or help you with your bags unless they are baggage handlers for that airline.e-pill
- kepp your wallet and all cash in your front pockets. dont put anything in the back pkts.e-pill
