    Something I've always found interesting was the idea of how much of our civilization comes from very basic fundamental things. Like the fact that we have 10 fingers/toes. So how much in our lives is based around 10 - quite a bit. What if you are a race with 8 fingers, or 12, or whatever. How does that ripple effect change everything else.
