got into an argument w/my dad about the overdraft charges that a bank hits you with if they choose to cover you...
... $35 a pop... ridiculous...
... well - my dad's a banker and proceeded to tell me that I don't understand all the background work going on. I sarcastically said 'yeah what's that... one computer talks to another and says 'sure, we'll cover that extra $0.99 cheeseburger... we'll charge you $35.99 for (plus whatever tax it cost)''... I then explained that my vehicle insurance tried to do an auto withdrawl on a tues... and the bank rejected it and still charged me $35... ...THEN... on weds... the insurance co tried to put it through AGAIN... and *slap... another FUCKING $35 FEE JUST TO REJECT THE REQUEST.
My father then went on tell me that the computers don't just work on their own magically... but there are in fact tech people etc etc and folks who create the rules.. blah blah...
... so I asked we just not discuss and that we move on to what he called me about...
He wanted to know what HD service cost on the Cable when I used to have it as he's fed up w/paying the hi fees for Satellite...
... I then reminded him of all the techs, decision makers etc etc involved w/that cost and then said I didn't remember what I was paying for cable cuz i shut it off nearly a year ago due to hi overdraft charges
