  i used to love the simpsons, but lately they've been running out of steam.
  South park, due to their production methods, can address current issues faster and are therefore timelier. There's definitely characters in South park that i wish weren't there (mr hanky, for one), but overall they've given themselves more options for development than the simpsons have (the south park kids age, bart and lisa do not etc).
