    my mbp seems to have hit its limitations when i use 3D render. the laptop goes into an instant shutdown. the harddrive can be heard spinning from out of the room and then BAM! everything shuts down.

    i think i need to upgrade, using adobe programs seem to work great but anything with more effort seems to fall short..

    the mbp i have is fully maxxed out to its limits but i did purchase it in 2006 and that is all it could do back then..

    i was recommended by dopepope to get an imac, the new 27"
    i am on the fence with that machine. is it as good as its claims are to be or is still a laptop/ tower my only options.

    i love the laptop because i travel to asia for sampling and product design so my laptop is great. i always wanted a tower but could never afford it but i feel i need that extra capabiilities of expansion and more power..

    help and advice is needed. thanks!!

    • Laptops will never be great for rendering, but a new MBP will certainly be way better.ismith
