This is no way to do either, as you have requested.
#1 -- You can print the HTML/imported page that the modal box calls, but from within the browser your only other option is to select whatever is in the box and use "Print selection only..." from the Print dialog.
#2 -- The modal box has to be click activated, or setup to auto-open from the retrieved page. I don't believe there is a way to auto-open a modal box inside another modal box without the use of AJAX-to-DOM?
All of this could be bullshit, but that's as much as I know...
