I like the second one better.. It's very small though. I would like to see it a little bigger.
I also have one sugestion. When you click on the portfolio and you choose a section. You really don't know what is supposed to happen. It took a little bit of time to see the small next and back buttons. Maybe if it went to the frist picture right away. or atleast some text saying "Click next to view the artwork" or something like that
