there's no doubt that he was in breach of his contract, or that Microsoft was exercising a right that they are entitled to as an employer, but i think it's a little far fetched.
if i were to take a picture of a Mr. Coffee in an MS breakroom and post it on a server that i pay hosting service for, i don't think that warrants firing. i think MS or any company for that matter should let it slide and at least give him a warning and ask that he remove the blog.
