Great point, dyspl. The fact IS that most people use their computer to check their email (less now than ever, though), fuck around on Facebook, troll the web and entertain themselves. Fewer and fewer people are using their personal computers for getting work done.
I am exactly the kind of person that might use a tablet. I go to work and design on a provided computer, and my own laptop feels cumbersome now that I don't use it to design on much anymore. The iPhone covers most of my computing needs while I'm away from my desk, but its limitations become clear quickly. The tablet would be a great portable.
