I have a 50" Panasonic Plasma, beautiful, good contrast and great color. I have a few friends who have LCD's and their TV's look crappier than mine. I have never owned a LCD so I am just going by experience from a plasma owner and looking at friends, but i would only buy plasma, and I would consider a LED tv too.
