  startac was a well built phone. Not a disposable commodity. Many people still use Startacs that were bought ten+ years ago.

  Motorola has certainly gone away from well built phones to cheap, throw away phones like the one pictured above. Makes sense, I suppose, why make a phone people buy once every ten years when you could make phones that people have to buy every 1.5 years?
