    F*CK the 40-50" TV's.

    Get yourself a Projector.
    I've got 90" on my living room wall for watching DVDs/BlueRays/PS3

    And get yourself a decent wee-ish tv for watching the usual crap on tv while you are eating your breakfast or dinner and keep dvds and gaming more of a special experience by turnign the lights off and getting the projector on the go.

    seriously!
    you could get a decent projector and a wee(ish) lcd for the same cost as getting a big 52"
