    i.e., I was hoping for some more "shocking" resolution like,

    -they are all dead and the island is purgatory or
    -they are all patients in a mental institution and the island is some kind of a shared dream/ delusion

    Something like that would put all the mystical mumbo jumbo in perspective and make it make sense! But nope, seems like it will just be that it is a magical island that shifts through space and time *yawn
