  I would like to hear an album of song by U2 done the following way:
  Bono with a single SM-57 Microphone
  The Edge with a Ukulele and an old upright piano
  Mullens with a pair of bongos, a tamborine and a single snare drum
  and Clayton with a stand up bass

  all recorded on a tascam 4 track with a single effects unit.

  i think that might strip them back down to basics. and no help from Brian Eno!!! (I love Eno btw.)

  and oh yeah, it should be recorded somewhere in Mississippi in August without air-conditioning.
