I have a iPhone love it - partner has a Droid because he don't give up his verizon service which is better than at&t sometimes.
Depends on what you want it for - how much you want to pay for service - if your set on certain apps that only come on iphone - etc
I went with iphone because of its ease of syncing with my mac with droid you have to use gmail to sync your calendar and everything.
