    a) build a pc if you're going the pc route. It's not tough and you are guaranteed to get quality components (assuming that's what you buy). Crack open any dell or hp and you will see that they put the cheapest crap fucking components possible. Although, systemax people put pretty decent hardware in.

    Then, install osx if you want it on your pc. I've done it on a bunch of pc's.

    The problem I have with apple is the massive gap between the iMac and the Mac Pro. Actually, if the iMac wasn't a goofy all in one design, I'd buy one tomorrow. I don't edit video, I use Photoshop and write code (plus make tunes). A quad core xeon is overkill for me and a lot of people. I like the mini, but it's limited. I see what they're doing with their products, but I don't like it. I think the demand for a tower priced the same as an imac is pretty large. C'mon Apple!!! I'm running you're hacked OSX on a pc. I can update it and everything with no problems. I'd drop $1500 to $1800 on a mid tower without blinking. $2500 as a base though, is too much and imac's are irritating.
