    BTW, I was a PC user for a long time. I switched from PC to Mac as my main computer this summer (and still own two PCs).

    My main PC running Vista after a couple years would crash, on cue, almost every night if I left it on too long. It would almost always slow down or lock up when I am running too many graphics programs at once.

    My Mac on the other hand has not crashed a single time in a half year. Open several programs at once and it doesn't even flinch. So once you get beyond the Mac "hype," it's measurably better in that respect, and worth the extra $ I think.
