  i don't know if it's because i grew up in the 90s or what, but i find it difficult to nail down the nineties as having any major defining characteristic either stylistically or conceptually.

  it's like it was just filler between the 00s when stuff really started getting good and recovery from the awfulness of the 80s (admit it, the 80s were really really bad, they only became sexy this decade)
