If you want the smoothest f-ing car there is, go for the 3.0 Multitronic. My partner bought one last month, everything except TV for 42K. (how good are you at bargaining?)
Or, you could buy mine... 02 A6 2.7T, loaded and DB-racing equipped. Beats the shit out of any sports car below $100K...
