it's mandarin, though i don't know if teach is the right word, we laughed at it more than anything, there are "classes" that say a word in both languages then you say it back into the mic and it grades you. enunciation/inflection is the key. i can't say i retained anything from it though, then again i wasn't trying to learn, but it would have been better if i had. it has other translation games features as well. plus it's on a psp, i play games with it when i travel already, seemed to fit in with what i was doing
