oh, come on. i'm surprised you guys keep on buying those rags-to-riches myths. The only actual cost obvious was the camera rental then he went and shot some of those plates himself, edited it himself then spend 5 months doing all the special effects in his garage while working at fast food restaurant. It was a hobby (meaning no real deadlines or having to deal with a money hungry post place). Only a truly madman would offer a guy like that 30m.
