Why don't you just have a floating div over a graphic that is in the shape of the text you want... might take a few try's to line up how you want it.
- not sure I get you, the shape of the text will change depending on what heading is typed into CMS ?blackspade

- no good for CMS, client wont create new graphics each time, ok for a static siteblackspade
