Don't listen to dropdown — he reckons anywhere without mountains and fresh powder is boring. ;)
If you've got no leads you could try a recruiter / agent / head-hunter to get you through the winter, there are a bunch in town. For junior / intermediate designers I think it's been pretty quiet this year for freelancing.
