I was into Slum Village when they were around, didn't even know it was dilla, (back then he went by J dee I guess) and the sound of every track was pure goodness. After he blew up, and everyone started calling him a genious I started listening to his instrumental stuff, and as much I dont like that he got so mainstream, his stuff is REALLY good..
