    We have an older (98) Honda and recently we had the same trouble.
    It was, as expected an electrical issue - the spark plugs needed changing out as did the ht leads from them to the distributor cap.
    Bit of a tune, change the fluids, rotate the tires and you should be good to go, they're just the most wonderfully reliable cars - if you get one thats produced in the middle of the life of the car, then all the production on it has been totally worked out, and the only things you'll ever need to change are those predictable things that are literally designed to wear out.
