transition to rhizome existence, creation of pseudo-past and pseudo-future,
no new movements can settle down and nothing new is invented in "decomposition without death", which is postmodernism

large half of all music and movies today are remakes, all idols and celebrities of past years are dying (James Brown, Barry White, Isaac Hayes, Michael Jackson etc. all died in the last 2-3 years), no-one near that scale to replace them, an average artist today is good for 5-10 years -- tops

Sylvester Stallone, not aware of the symbolic gesture, has gathered all stars of from his era, the golden age of action cinema, in one movie -- like a farewell to the fresh, stupid, immature, unpretentious fun of the 80s.
Stallone is an enlightened master who has an intuitive hunch for many new things and coming trends. Only person above him in my book is Mick Jagger

The movie btw has a very telling title
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1320…
The Expendables, its coming out next year
