Need to know more info.....
1. Did the engine sound match the gas pedal pressure or not? i.e. you push harder engine goes faster, or did engine go fast without hitting the gas? Or did it stay fast once you pressed the gas but didn't slow down once you let up the gas pedal?
2. Does the car still run, but with alot less power? Could be simply bad spark plug wires
3. Has the oil been changed recently by a "10 minute oil change" place? Sometimes they forget to put stuff back together right....
