When asked about it's environment, water would be the last thing a fish would identify, if at all.
Same for our society. If you can't see the shitty systemic choices most people have to chose between everyday, i.e. "lunch today? McDonald's or Taco Bell?"
So bravo for you, the person who isn't hip deep in a bad environment, anonymously on the internet who can easily say to the fat kid eating the ice cream "It's that parent's fault!"
e.g. of how the system is stacked against many people: http://trueslant.com/megancottreā¦
At the end of the day, that kid, and his friends..fat, diabetic ridden because they have the "free market" choice between various forms of shitty Big Agra subsidized corn syrup & byproduct full foods where they live and can afford are a burden to all of us - drains on the social fabric and dangerous vectors for disease to spread.
It's real, real easy to blame the parent. And not see the water in which they swim.
