This is the difference good interface design makes, you could make something like MS Word as hard to use as Maya if you gave it a poor interface. Just because most 3D programs are hard to use due to the poor interfaces doesn't mean that something has to be hard to use to be powerful.
Although I agree it definitely is a trend that easy to use = shit in the 3D world, however C4D bucks that trend.
