you don't HAVE to give two weeks notice, but you really should if you don't want to piss everybody off and burn bridges. I'd recommend just writing a letter of resignation stating the date you want to leave and see what the boss says. Sometimes they'll say, "Just leave today..." and you'll be done if you want to be.
