Well FWIW LW is one of the few people on here who posts her work and actually listens to criticism without crying or lashing out angrily.
Anyway, I think the overall focus is a bit off. It looks like it's trying to be "kitsch" in a 50s kind of way with the color scheme and script typeface. I would scrap that approach entirely and go for something more modern.
In terms of appealing to women, I can see the challenge with a client trying to position their site in that way, but IMO the better sites that appeal to one group or another do it in a pretty subtle way. Just go for a clean, modern look, less stuffy than your average financial website and I think women will find it appealing.
