    Yet again, I'm not impressed.

The concept art is beautful, no doubt, but I'm not seeing a huge leap from the Mary Blair genius (Alice is even in a blue dress). Does he have a contract with Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter? Are they really the ideal actors for these roles? Do all of the more intimate scenes have to look like they're shot on a sound stage?

Add to that my concern that Burton will supply us with another visually stunning yet totally uninspiring and poorly written re-work of a classic (Sleepy Hollow, Planet of the Apes, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Batman, etc.), and I'm rather non-plused.

But hey, congrats to the concept designers. Solid work as usual.

    • i think she's in a blue dress because it's still a disney property like the original animated filmscarabin
    • it's branding in a wayscarabin
    • Then explain the different designs for the rest of the characters. Esp. Cheshire Cat, Tweedle Dee/Dum & Mat Hatter.luckyorphan
