have you tried removing 3rd party photoshop plugins and renaming the TWAIN plugin? go to the photoshop plugins folder and in Import/Export locate the Twain plugin and place a ~ in front of the name, so it now read ~Twain, this disables the plugin, now test launching again. Also if it fails after you did something with fonts, try the font KB doc from Adobe to be sure: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/405/kb4…
