i even did some HD video editing on my old powerbook G4.
the fun element was i could edit it in AE but my mac wasn't capable of playback properly. but it was a gig for another editor, so no biggie haha..
srsly. both macbook pro and imac are well suited enough for that kind of work.
don't be so afraid.
