  I hate charitable efforts. Why do they have to be so fucking cringey. Why can't we just fucking evaluate

  1. Whether we are in a position to help
  2. Whether the proposed need is something we are moved to address.

  Why do we have to be coaxed and cajoled into 'buying' something *Whacky* and *Hilarious* by well-meaning people who, on any other day of the year might be possessed of some genuine wit, but on this one day a year that is designated "CHARITY DAY" are mysteriously transmogrified into chummy zany LOOK AT ME I'M COMPLETELY BONKERS halfwits?
