^ I set up a studio in 2002 with another bloke. We didn't know what to call it. He kept coming up with really awful name. I had to keep saying "Oh god no". One day I took a book in and it had the word FURY on the front of it. He looked at it and said "What about calling ourselves Fury?"... by that point I already knew I wasn't going to be there much longer so I just said "Yeah great lets call it Fury".
Then I sat at my desk and googled Fury, Fury Design, StudioFury and saw that there were already about 60 design companies with Fury predominantly in their name. I just kept quiet though, it was easier than going through the pain of trying to find another name hahaha.
So now I wonder, whenever he does a CD artwork and puts a design credit on it, is it the Fury design company in Bristol, who come up in Google and who do music stuff, who get his work, or maybe the design company Fury Design in London who also come up much higher in search results.
It pays to check these things out before registering your company name methinks.
- Indeed. My US counterparts mother should have googled the name before giving it to him.********
- Sounds like it pays to check who you choose to set up studios with more like.Salt47
