    The best one you can afford, Gitzo, Manfrotto/Bogen are pretty decent. The head is probably more important than the legs, every 3 way head I have used has a fair bit of flex in it, a decent ballhead like a RRS or Arca Swiss is the way to go.

    Budget will dictate what you can do. Could always buy a new plate.
