    I wouldn't connect the r_o, nor the f_o. Those spots will be too dark. What you could do is cut a diagonal off the arm of the 'r' and lower arm of the 'f' to give more room to the 'o's. If you continue that theme, you could adjust the legs of the 'u' and 'd' and cut the same angle there (this will also create some breathing space around both those glyphs 'bellies').
    Then re-evaluate the top arm of the 'f'. I think it's too low, buit maybe cutting the lower arm will generate enough space for it. Otherwise I would take it up a bit.
    You could also add a diagonally cut arm to the left side of the 't'.

    Because you have now freed the 'oo' from the 'f', you could use it as a sideways 8. So maybe play with something like 'F:1.8' or '28mm' (where the 8 is the oo in Proudfoot).
