Off the topic I know, but a really good documentary to watch is "When Rover met BMW". Its absolutely excrutiating but compelling viewing. Its fly on the wall footage of the meetings between the two car makers before BMW bought Rover. Most of the meetings are in Longbridge, Birmingham, and the Brummies clarly have no idea how to cater for important visitors overseas at all. They get their dinner lady, a tubby woman named something like Doreen, to bring in a plate of home-made sandwiches, and she explains to the very top tier of BMW's board of directors, in a very loud, slow voice (becuase they are 'foreign') that she has made the sandwiches especially for them to help to make them feel at home.
They are Sauerkraut on buttered white bread. With little German flags stuck in them I seem to recall.
Good God.
