    Wow. The same people who are morons in the politics thread are morons in science threads. Amazing. I know correlation isn't causation, but still...

    And why should mining the moon be "another agenda" for NASA? Fuck, I remember when I was a kid, cause I was a kid during the Apollo missions, cause I'm fucking old, they were talking about "mining the moon". That was a stated objective. Now it's some kind of "alternate agenda"? Seriously?

    And again, the payload cost of moving things from earth to orbit to moon outweighs any money made in transporting raw minerals etc. back to earth. Until payload to orbit costs become commercially reasonable this is still off in the middle future - probably at least another 50 years out minimum.
